Funeral service for Daniel Thomas Murchison will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Thomas Rush and Rev. Perry Webb officiating. Interment will follow at American Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on January 10, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA.

Daniel "Tom" Murchison, 75 years of age, passed away January 7, 2012. He was born October 26, 1936 to the late Daniel Henry Murchison and Margaret Giles Murchison in Memphis, TN.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vicki Jean Dillow Murchison, Natchitoches, LA; his sons, Daniel Thomas Murchison, Jr. and wife Gretchen of Natchitoches, LA, Timothy Glenn Murchison of Natchitoches, LA, and William Tyler Murchison and wife Sally of Natchitoches, LA; seven grandchildren, Garrett Wayne Murchison, Katherine Victoria Murchison, Daniel Jacob Murchison, Anna Grace Murchison, Ava Margaret Murchison, Henry Ian Murchison, and Farrah Elizabeth Murchison, all of Natchitoches, LA; two sisters, Dr. Margaret Lynne Murchison of Oxford, MS and Judy Murchison Kirby and husband James of Memphis, TN; one brother-in-law, Kip Dillow and wife Linda of Cobden, IL; three nieces, Amie Ramsey, Chandra Dillow, and Summer Bacon; and three nephews, Matthew Kirby, Andrew Kirby, and Kipper Dillow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Henry Murchison and Margaret Giles Murchison; and his father and mother-in-law, Roy and Dorothy Dillow.
