Thelma Peacock Jennings, age 93, of Tyler, TX, passed away Friday, November 26, 2010, at Briarcliff Nursing Home in Tyler, TX. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, November 29, 2010. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis with Rev. David Brown and Rev. David Elkins officiating. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.

Mrs. Thelma was a kind and caring person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee with friends, and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Natchitoches for 60 years. She lived a joyous life, had a wonderful sense of humor, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Jennings; her parents, Joseph Warren Peacock and Loraine Woods Peacock; four sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Roma McKinley and husband Ellis of Tyler, TX; one son, Jimmy Jennings and wife Sandra of Bullard, TX; six grandchildren, Keith Jennings and wife Penny, Jeff Jennings and wife Leslie, Dane McLamore and wife Marcie, Dawn Brown and husband David, John Mills and wife Melanie, and James Mills and wife Stacie; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be sent in memory of Mrs. Thelma to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4473 Louisiana Hwy 3278, Natchitoches, LA 71457-6484.
