This morning after breakfast, we drive downtown to the Santa Fe Plaza where the Indians sell their jewelry – beautiful jewelry, and of course, I had to buy some!  Shops are everywhere – a shopping Heaven.  We visited an art gallery – the Joe Wade Fine Art gallery.  A classmate of ours from high school, Judy Little Wade, owns the gallery.  We have a nice visit with her.  Next we visited the Saint Francis of Assisi Cathedral and then the San Miguel Mission; the oldest church in the country and across the street is the oldest house in the USA.  The Saint Francis of Assisi Cathedral was built in Romanesque style of Bishop Lamy’s native France.  Construction began in 1869.  It was consecrated in 1895 and was elevated to Basilica in 2005.  San Miguel Chapel was built in 1626.  The oldest bell in the USA is in the San Miguel Mission and has this inscription “Saint Joseph pray for us, August 9, of 1356”.  It weighs 780 pounds and is made of copper, silver, iron and gold.  Next, we found a great place to eat – Top of the Roof Pizza– it was excellent!  Now we are on our way to Amarillo for the night.

Hey, you didn't say if you made a purchase at Judy's art gallery.  :)  If you don't mind I'm going to copy your photo of Judy with y'all and post it to her profile page.
