Obituary for Mr. Billy Ray Johnston

Funeral service for Mr. Billy Ray Johnston, 75, of Winnsboro, will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 12, 2016 at New Zion Baptist Church, with Bro. Tommy Basco officiating, interment to follow at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.

Billy, a retired carpenter, was born on December24, 1940, in Winnsboro, LA, to the union of Archie and Doris Davis Johnston, and passed away on August 8, 2016 in Winnsboro, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Dennis Johnston; nephew, Jamey Southern; and brother in law, David Ebert.  

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife Ruth Ebert Johnston; sons, Wesley Johnston and wife Cara, and Russell Johnston and wife Micha; grandchildren, Austin Johnston and wife Susan, Crystal Johnston, and Louise Johnston; brother, Mark Johnston and wife Mollie; sister, Nelda Henson and husband Todd; sister in law, Sandra Johnston, and by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

Pallbearers that will be honoring Mr. Johnston will be Austin Johnston, Tim Russell, Ed Russell, Matthew Ebert, Michael Ebert and Kris Wallace.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Dennis Johnston.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home-Winnsboro, LA.
