Clyde M. Bostick, Jr.

Natchitoches - Services for Clyde M. Bostick Jr. will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis with the Revs. Doug Cain and Clifford Locke officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery.

Bostick, 69, of Natchitoches died at 6:42 p.m. Monday, June 20, 1994, in Schumpert Medical Center, Shreveport.

He was a native of Pleasant Hill and a paraplegic U.S. Army vteran, having served during World War II.  He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals and his combat unit, the 104th Infantry Regiment, received the French Croix de Guerre for service in France.

He was a graduate of Northwestern State University, receiving a bachelor of science and a master's degree of education.  He received a master's degree in history from Louisiana State University and did further graduate work at University of California at Los Angeles.  He worked as a teacher, counselor and vo-tech admissions counselor and in 1981 retired from the NSU faculty.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Phi Alpha Theta, Disabled American Veterans and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Survivors include his mother, Blanche A. Bostick of Natchitoches.

Pallbearers will be Tom Tobin, Mike Tobin, Pat Tobin, Dr. Will Worley, Joel Williams, Mark Williams, Steve Pharis, Troy Bostick, Terry Bostick, Thad Bostick, Bryron Bostick, Wade Bostick and Wayne Bostick.
