Dudley Dee Scarborough

Dudley D. Scarborough passed away at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, LA on Saturday June 27, 2020.

Due to the national pandemic with COVID-19, Mr. Scarborough’s family will not receive visitors and will have a private funeral for family members only. He will be buried at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetary in Leesville, LA on Thursday July 2, 2020 at 11:00 o’clock a.m. His brother Terry Ray Scarborough will officiate. Those honored to be his pallbearers are Terry Scarborough, Lonny Carney, Jr., Joshua Mitchell, Landon Carney, Mark Dixon and Lonny Carney, Sr.

Mr. Scarborough was born on March 30, 1943 in Spanish Lake, LA. After graduating from Natchitoches High School he enlisted in the military and served his country in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964 at which time he was honorably discharged. He was a long time resident of Provençal, LA up until the time became a resident of Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Susie Garcia Scarborough. Brothers: Charlie L. Scarborough, Donald N. Scarborough and Carl Otis Scarborough. Sister: Minnie Scarborough. Most recently and too soon, his great nephew Dustin Scarborough and niece Gwen Scarborough Drews.

He is survived by his brother Terry Ray Scarborough and his sister-in-law Maggie Smith Scarborough (Otis). Nephews: Carl Wayne Scarborough, Terry Scarborough and Norm Scarborough (Toni). Nieces: Dianne LeJeune, Sherry Mitchell and Marti Dixon (Mark). Great nephews: Lonny Carney Jr. (Katie), Joshua Mitchell (Lauren), Cole Sarpy, Blake York and Kyle York. Great nieces: Mikaela Sarpy, Courtney C. Sarpy, Gabrielle Scarborough and Alyssa Scarborough. Great Great Nephew and Nieces: Haley, Landon, Adalyn, Avery, Stella. And his long time friend, Lonny Carney Sr.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his nurse Sheni at Willis-Knighton Pierremont. While family was not allowed to be with him, she was by his side and for that they are very grateful.
