Bridwell, Phyllis June, 73, of Weston, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by many of her family on February 1, 2016.  Phyllis was born in Bastrop, Louisiana to John C. and Mary Opal.  After graduating from Natchitoches High School, Phyllis began to pursue her love of learning at Northwestern University in Louisiana and eventually earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she met her husband, Jack A. Bridwell.  Jack and Phyllis were sealed in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple on June 1, 1964 for time and all eternity.  Phyllis retired from teaching to pursue her greatest passion, raising her family.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit, was an avid reader and loved music, traveling, playing bridge, sewing and most recently machine embroidery.  Phyllis was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many capacities within its Primary, Young Womens and Relief Society organizations sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through her excellent example.  Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jack; five children, Lori (Lincoln), Jack Jr. (Tammy), Chad (Jolene), Blake (Miriam), and Derek (Brenna); 11 grandchildren, Shaylee, Seth, Grace, Abigail, Owen, Kaitlyn, Faith, Tripp, Emma, Liliana, and Dominic; her sisters, Wanda and Veronica (Delray), many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm, and both of her parents.  Mom left her footprints on the hearts of everyone she met and our lives have been forever changed and blessed for having known her.  She will be truly missed.  There will be a viewing on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, Connecticut.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 30 Woodside Street, Manchester, Connecticut.  There will be a brief viewing prior to the services from: 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Interment will take place in Glastonbury, Connecticut.  The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses and doctors of the MICU at Cleveland Clinic Florida for their tender care of Mom during the last weeks of her life.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund at http://give.lds.org/pef.
